My name is Emily Flynn
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, I am a textile designer, storyteller, and community-builder with over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to partner with some of the leading brands in the United States, but what continues to drive me is something deeper—creating work that connects. My designs are rooted in storytelling, shaped by identity, and inspired by the ways we carry memory, culture, and experience with us.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do. From working with clients in fashion, to connecting hundreds of field hockey players from all over NYC, and creating meaningful workshops for transracial adoptees, I translate ideas into something tangible—something that feels intentional and creates a lasting impact. I have been building community for 20 years with NYCfieldhockey.org and for the past 4 years as a board member for Also-Known-As, Inc.
